Craig was a friend who I met when I worked in the Lower Deerness Valley.
I wanted to say I am sorry Craig that I did not hear what you were saying in the emails you sent me just before you decided to take your own life.
I wish you could have sat around our kitchen table and told us all about it as you had many times before.
I think about you a lot and have your picture on my office wall.
I miss you Craig but I am not angry for what you did. You had a pretty rough time in the 21 years you were alive.
Thank you for being part of my life.

Again for not responding more quickly when you needed someone. All the emails, still in my inbox, I simply refuse to delete. They remind me that friends really need one another sometimes.
I'm sorry I didn't keep the photographs I had. I'm sorry I didn't pay you that visit you pleaded for.
I'm sorry, I did not know.
Well now we all know.
I hope one day I will get the opportunity to give you my apology in person.
Until then, you are always in my thoughts. You really changed my life. I miss you more than you'll ever know.
